Why do you think you were banned: I was banned because I admitted to using discord to "guess" a TFA prospects name and breaking character.
Why should we unban you: Before I begin I just want to clarify that I have used my previous appeal, only because otherwise I would be repeating the same response essentially even though I feel like I have repeated myself a few times in my original appeal, this is not an excuse for me to be lazy by no means.
I will also be addresssing the response I have been given in my original appeal here.
So I would like to thank Jessie for her time in giving me a response and to answer your questions, I have taken a couple of days as requested by yourself to think about my actions. You're not wrong I was quite quick with my appeal, I have been reflecting my actions and revisited the rules to try and ensure history does not repeat itself.
To address the second statement, I believe it was not the case of myself lying instead it was a case of myself being confused as obviously that night I played multiple characters forgetting that I even played my SK character hence why when Stuart went through my phone logs to check my interactions with TFA, he could not find anything.
I think that is what caused a lot of confusion because I stated that I have had previous interactions, one of them being recently as I was having a back and forth with Jonathan Jones on tweedle. This was on Felix and not on SK, Stuart rightly checked SK's logs as I was on that character at night and completely forgot I even logged on that character.
I would not lie about what I have done, I even admitted to using discord in game at the time of breaking the rules.
I guess there must have been a misunderstanding, I think I was going down the route of myself knowing TFA and having previous interactions with them on both characters so even though I was reading the names on discord, I probably knew them already however I was wrong as they're new prospects.
Still broke the rule, definetly could have been a bit more transparent.
I have obviously done wrong, I tried to be funny and ultimately paid the price.
To be honest I do not know why I done it, I guess it was because it was late at night and just wanted a bit of a laugh as I knew some TFA members, so I sort of had an idea that they would not care or would interupt their immersion to a degree however that is by no means an excuse to break a rule.
This is my first actual ban for metagaming (I say actual as theres been two incidents on record, one which I proved to be innocent and second was private where I could not defend myself I believe, correct me if im wrong) and even though its obvious I did not have any malicious intent by what I "metagamed" I still broke the rule, plain and simple.
I am no stranger to the server and to recieve a ban you would often expect from a "Baldy" is dissapointing to say the least. I try to hold myself to a higher standard when I do try but I
for some reason decided to mess around and got carried away that night, but again I do not do it to cause issues or anything I just have a weird sense of humour where I have this tendency where I just start cracking jokes and then not looking at the bigger picture.
I also did break character that same night by referencing Ju Longs ban, I sort of caughed after saying he got banned knowing I should not have mentioned it at all I only did it because it was myself and Father although there were a few people nearby but its not clear whether they heard or not but thats irrelevant nonetheless. The important part is that I should not have broken character and I have.
I havent recieved a server ban in a while, like I said when I do try I'm often good but when its late night I just start messing around, today I paid the price for it.
I am ashamed of my actions, not gonna sit here and say that I'm not.
I understand the severity of the rule, did I do it to gain an advantage with a malicious intent? No, I just tried to be funny by reading names but regardless of the intent behind it I obviously should not have done it.
I guess I've sort of lost my touch with making jokes, I thought I knew where the line was but it appears I'm offside.
Regarding the rules broken, I'm not going to pretend or act clueless, I knew what I did and if given another chance I will not only be grateful but I will take things more serious and stop this habit of thinking its fine to break rules after a certain time.
Like previously mentioned I did it to be funny and not to actually metagame things that can cause major issues within the city, granted theres a chance where perhaps the prospect could or wanted to keep his name private and I just exposed it and if that is the case I would like to apologise.
On the topic of apologising, I'd like to apologise to the staff members I have dissapointed.
I know how to roleplay and what to do and what not to do, anyone whos roleplayed with me can vouch (I hope) but I've let myself down today.
