DEATHS www.herald.com Friday, march 9,2001 bro Peter John Lamborghini, 58, owner of travel agency 4B Pompano Beach; another son, Michael Lamborghini of Tamarac; and five grandchildren. A funeral service will be at 7:30 tonight at KraeerBecker Funeral Funeral Home in Deer-field Beach. field, Iowa, in 1963. He met Wargo while in college. They later married.

In 1964, Lamborghini worked in the monorail division at American Machine Foundry in Manhattan, which was used around the grounds of the New York World's Fair that year, Wargo said. He was later promoted to sales executive at the company. In 1972, Lamborghini and three partners co-founded Golf Incorporation of America, in Newton, exporting computerized indoor golf machines. The business lasted about six years, she said. He married Karen Halfpenny in August 1984 in Pompano Beach.

In addition to his son Peter, daughters Dina and Jodi, he is survived by his wife, Karen of Obituaries agent Rowena Krass of Boca Raton. "He was super, super personally and in business," Krass said. "Good friend, generous just kind." The agency closed in December because of competition from the Internet, his son said. Peter John Lamborghini was born in New York City. She was a volunteer at Fairchild Tropical Garden. Every year Mike's Lounge celebrated St. Patrick's Day, Mike's favorite holiday with friends. Last year Mike and his wife Roberta had his last harrah at the St. James Civic Center where over 300 old and new friends came to join them for St. Patrick's Day Year 2000.

Mike was in the 82nd Airborne. Member of the American Legion Post 136 and the Moose Lodge in St. James City. John was born in Granada, Mississippi on March 21, 1934 and grew up Vicksburg, Mississippi. John was a fraduate of the School of Architecture at ensselaer Polytechnic Institute in Troy, New york, where he was a member of Delta Kappa Epsilon fraternity. From 1956 to 1980 he practiced in Kansas City, Missouri, as a partner in Coombs Eggen, with Kivett Myers, designing the School of Pharmacy building at UMKC, and from 1964 to 1974 as a partner in Seligson, Eggen Associates, where he designedmany award winning buildings. In 1975, John accepted a position with the firm of HNTB where he opened and ran the firm's Florida Architectural office in Miami, Florida until 1983. After a few years with Allen Morris and having a private architectural practice, he joined Heffner and Weber in Baltimore as Vice-President until 2000, when he returned to Coral Gables.

John was a member of St. Thomas Episcopal Church, Riviera Country Club, Beach Colony Club, and the Coral Gables Board of Architecture. He was active with the Sunrise Optimist Club and the Rotary Club of both Kansas City and Miami. John was a licensed private pilot. He enjoyed many sports and hobbies; including golf, tennis, and woodworking.

John was a renowned postal historian with special interests in Kansas Territory ana United States Steamboat mail. He was a former director of the U.S. Philatelic Classics Society and was a long-term member of the American Philatelic Society as well as the Collectors Club of new York. John was a founding member of the Kansas City Collectors Club, and his exhibits garnered many medals, including Grand Awards at several national philatelic exhibitions. His parents, John and Gladys Lord Eggen, preceded John in death.

John is survived by his loving wife, Tamara Hartnett Eggen; his daughter, Jennifer Eggen of Kansas City, Missouri; his step-children, Jennifer Hartnett Wilson, William John Hartnett III, Caroline Anna Hartnett; and sister, Pamela Eggen.
