Top migraine medication effective for preventing migraines, treating drug-induced headaches is hard to access
A new study shows that FDA-approved oral migraine drug atogepant is effective for relieving difficult-to-treat “medication overuse headaches” that are the result of using too much of other pain relieving medications. Migraines affect nearly one in eight adults in the U.S. Migraines are also the leading cause of disability in adults under 50 years of age. This high number underscores the need for better treatments for people with migraines.

How will the Supreme Court's immunity decision impact Trump's 4 criminal cases?
The Supreme Court's ruling that former President Donald Trump is presumptively immune from criminal prosecution for official acts carried out while in office is likely to have a ripple effect on each of his four criminal cases, potentially resulting in delays and complications that will further bog them down, experts told ABC News. In the months leading up to the Supreme Court's decision, Trump's lawyers invoked presidential immunity as a defense in each of the four cases, including moving to dismiss Trump's Florida and Georgia cases as well as exclude evidence in Trump's New York hush money case. While Monday's ruling entitling Trump to immunity from prosecution for official acts while president will most directly impact his federal election interference case -- potentially reshaping charges faced by the former president related to his conduct to overturn the 2020 election results -- the Supreme Court's decision could provide Trump's lawyers additional ammunition to challenge and delay the other cases.

New details emerge in police shooting of 13-year-old New York boy
As the family of a 13-year-old boy who was killed by police in Utica, New York, demanded justice, the city's police chief alleged Monday that the teenager had a realistic-looking replica gun still in his hand when he was shot. The boy, identified as Nyah Mway, was shot once in the chest by a Utica police officer on Friday night after he and a friend were stopped on a street by officers investigating a robbery pattern, officials said. "This is very heartbreaking for the family because they lost a child," Mway's uncle, Lay Htoo, told ABC News, adding that his nephew recently graduated from the eighth grade.

Newly released grand jury documents in Epstein case reveal alleged victims accused of prostitution
A grand jury in Palm Beach County on July 19, 2006, heard from two alleged underage victims of Jeffrey Epstein, two police officers and an investigator with the state's attorney's office in a proceeding that lasted less than four hours, according to newly unsealed transcripts released by a judge in Florida. During the testimony of the two alleged victims, each was confronted with questions about whether they understood that they had engaged in prostitution and could be charged with a crime, according to the newly released transcripts. The previously secret testimony was made public on Monday in response to a motion from the Palm Beach Post, joined by numerous other news agencies.

After Beryl strengthens to a Category 5, hurricane warning goes into effect in Jamaica
After Hurricane Beryl strengthened to a Category 5 while over the ocean, a Hurricane warning is now in effect for Jamaica, according to the National Hurricane Center. Hurricane Beryl is expected to produce rainfall totals of 4 to 8 inches across portions of Jamaica on Wednesday, with isolated amounts of up to 12 inches possible. This could trigger flash flooding in vulnerable areas.

Hurricane Beryl has been upgraded to a Category 5 and is being described as “potentially catastrophic,” the National Hurricane Center announced Monday night. Maximum sustained winds have increased to 160 mph, according to the National Oceanic and Atmospheric Administration Hurricane Hunters. Beryl is currently moving across the eastern Caribbean Sea after slamming into Carriacou Island in Grenada with maximum sustained winds of 150 mph as a Category 4, leaving at least one person dead, according to officials Monday.

40 people injured after Air Europa flight experiences heavy turbulence, diverted to Brazil: Airport
Forty people were injured after an Air Europa flight from Spain to Uruguay experienced strong turbulence and was diverted to Brazil, officials said. Flight UX045 experienced "heavy" turbulence early Monday morning and safely landed at Natal International Airport in São Gonçalo do Amarante, the airline said. Air Europa said in an earlier statement that seven people suffered injuries of "varying degrees," and there was an "undetermined number of people with minor contusions."

A debate that amplified concerns over President Joe Biden's age was followed by a Supreme Court ruling Friday that limited the scope of a federal obstruction statute that is being used in the prosecution against Trump over his role in the Jan. 6, 2021, attack on the U.S. Capitol. Then on Monday, the Supreme Court decided that presidents do have some immunity from prosecution for official acts -- not quite the "absolute immunity" Trump has touted but still enough to offer some legal cover for his effort to overturn his 2020 loss and probably push back a decision in a special counsel case against him until after Election Day.

Record warm ocean temperatures allowed Hurricane Beryl to become the earliest Category 4 Atlantic storm
Warmer-than-usual ocean temperatures have allowed for the earliest-ever Category 4 hurricane on record to barrel through the Atlantic Basin, records show. Hurricane Beryl was a Category 4 storm Monday morning as it approached the Caribbean islands of St. Vincent, Grenadines, Grenada, and Carriacou and Petite Martinique islands – the first-ever hurricane recorded during the month of June. Sea surface temperatures are at record highs, with temperatures in the Atlantic, where hurricanes form, measuring two or three degrees Celsius higher than normal in the Caribbean Sea, according to the National Oceanic and Atmospheric Administration (NOAA).

"Operation We Will Find You 2" focused on several hot spot cities such as Phoenix, Arizona, and Miami, Florida, where there were kids missing, it said. "Whenever a child is missing, whether we cannot explain how they went missing, whether we think it was a family abduction, or whether it's a runaway, they are at risk of being in danger and at risk of being trafficked, at risk of being hurt, we need to take it very, very seriously," U.S. Marshals Service Director Ronald Davis told reporters on Monday.

High levels of bacteria in water lead to multiple beach closures across the US
Beaches in several states across the country have been closed to swimmers over the last few days due to harmful levels of bacteria in the water. In Massachusetts, at least 37 beaches were closed as of Monday afternoon due to "bacterial exceedance," according to the state's Department of Public Health (MDPH). Many of the beaches tested positive for high levels of a type of fecal bacteria, and beachgoers were warned not to swim or enter the water in those locations to avoid risk of illness, according to the health agency.

As the Israel-Hamas war continues, negotiations have stalled to secure the release of hostages taken by the terrorist organization, and Israeli forces continue to launch incursions in the southern Gazan town of Rafah ahead of a possible large-scale invasion. The Israel Defense Forces ordered hundreds of people in Khan Younis in southern Gaza to evacuate amid its response to a rocket attack, the military said. The IDF said the evacuation is in response to an earlier rocket attack that came from the area involving approximately 20 projectiles.
