The Find a Grave app is a great way to use and add to the world's largest free online collection of burial information. Quickly search more than 225 million graves in half a million cemeteries around the world. Add a new memorial or a photo and GPS location to an existing memorial.

You can suggest a change to a memorial (to add more information or correct an error) by clicking the “Suggest Edits” button on the memorial and entering the correct information.

You cannot rely on any of the information on a Find-a-grave page unless a source is given, and you can verify that source. But, like someone's tree, it can give you clues to names and relationships. After you get the clue, the next step is to find a reliable source to prove what Find-a-grave says.

Why can't I find the person I'm looking for? It is possible your search is too narrow. Broaden your search for more search results. If you still don't see the memorial, it is possible the individual is not yet memorialized on Find a Grave.

The easiest way to add GPS to a memorial is to add a photo that was taken with a phone or camera that supports GPS location services. When you upload a photo with GPS location attached to it, that location will be added to the memorial.

At the bottom of every famous memorial there is a rating system. You can rank someone's fame by clicking on one of the 'star' options. A vote of one star indicates that the person was barely famous. A vote of five stars indicates the person achieved widespread fame.

Most modern cemeteries have websites with maps making relatives and family plots easy to find. If the cemetery is small and has no website, you will need to contact the caretaker or administrator and ask them for the location of the grave. Keep in mind, no two cemeteries are the same.

Annual pricing depends on your cemetery's size, the number of system users and the features you'd like included. However, the subscription typically falls in the $600 per year - $2,000 per year range.
