I miss sliding keyboards. If the price is right, they might have a buyer already. :)

What the hell are Antec doing getting into handhelds? This is a sign folks, we're one step closer to having Cooler master branded Butt plugs.

Sure, but look at the distance from the sides to the nearest keys, looks a bit uncomfortable, right?

How could they not at least tell us if it's AMD or Intel, that alone determines its desirability to 99% of potential consumers.

We'll see how close it is to the Ayaneo Slide.

Everyone seems to quickly get into handhelds before Steam Deck 2 comes out, as if people arn't patient and waiting.

I'm not sure this is the right time to buy a handheld if you haven't already, because of IGP development.
AMD and Intel will have some nice improvements later this year, and unlike desktop you're stuck with what you get.

Possibly. Let's wait for reviews.

Personally, I don't find much use in a portable gaming console (I need a mouse and keyboard to game unless it's Pokémon), but a portable computer is a different matter.

This is most likely a re-badged Ayaneo Slide with a 8840U in it. Reviews for what it may most likely be are already out.

Given all the publicity surrounding ASUS' latest sh*tstorm, I have a feeling we'll see ROG branded butt plugs first. Ya know, "For Those Who Dare!"

Probably too many players in this market now. However likely eating into the non steam vendors, as Steam Deck made by steam itself with OLED and linux.

That would change what ROG means then to Republic of Gayness then I wonder if it will come with RGB and tactile vibrations (for those lovers labs mods)

Interesting, do you not play anything with a controller? I'd say for me it's FPS & strats that I need a mouse & keyboard, pretty much everything else is controller.

I'll play Pokemon, Mortal Kombat, or Tekken anytime. Arcade style racing games such as Need for Speed are doable, too. But that's it. For anything else, controllers are my enemy.

chrcolukProbably too many players in this market now. However likely eating into the non steam vendors, as Steam Deck made by steam itself with OLED and linux.

The thing that makes Steam Deck is so interesting, is the building their entire software infrastructure around Linux. This is something, many "rivals" lack completely, as there's no official support of either Steam OS, or any other own Linux-based OS for each handheld product.

And this is not only is not attractive, this hurts the Linux adoption, or rather decrease the "reliance" on Windows domination. Not to mention, how resource heavy the bloated W11 is, on such small handheld devices. Anyone, who ever used a distro, e.g. like Linux Mint, even a live-USB from a slow thumb drive, on old and slow computer, knows how snappy it is.

There's no comparison with 60+ svhosts in the background, and dozens of other exposed and hidden processes, that eat up significant portion of resources, impending the task priority of programs ran by user, for his/her purposes. And this stuff can still be counted as portable x86-64 "desktop" PC.
