Steele Pallas of 466 Haverhill Road, died Tuesday of natural causes at Women Babies Hospital. She was born Sunday at Women Babies Hospital. Surviving in addition to her parents are two brothers, Justin Pallas of Mountville and Skyler Sawyer of Lancaster; and maternal grandmother, Beverly Steele of Lancaster. Elvin Neff, 86, was Fuller Brush man Elvin L. Neff, 86, of 214 Meadia died unexpectedly Thursday afternoon in the emergency room of Lancaster General Hospital.
He was under the care of a physician. Neff was a door -to -door salesman for the Fuller Brush Co. for 55 years. His territory included the Hamilton Park- Millersville-Washington Boro-Mountville Elvin Neff area. He previously was a machinist at the former Hamilton Watch Co.
and Armstrong World Industries. He also worked at American Silk Mill and drove delivery truck for Filling Cleaners Inc. A U.S. Army veteran, he served as a corporal from 1945 to 1946. He was a 1935 graduate of the former Manor Township High School.
He was a member of First Church of God, where he served on church council and as secretary. He also belonged to the a Group and Golden Rule Bible Class, where he was song leader until last year. He enjoyed photography, bowling, fishing and the Phillies. Born in Millersville, he was the son of the late Benjamin H. and Annie K.
Lefever Neff. He was married 64 years on July 29 to Gladys Witmer Neff. Surviving in addition to his wife are two daughters, K. Louise, married to William A. Sherman of Landisville, and Nancy married to Harry Ludwig Jr.
of Langhorne; four grandchildren; six great-grandchildren; and a sister, Verna, married to Isaac Kauffman of Narvon. He was preceded in death by a brother, Chester and two sisters, Elizabeth Shue and Myrtle Heistand. George Stoyanovitch, was barber, cook George J. Stoyanovitch, 79, of 1053 Henn Ephrata, formerly of Lititz, died Thursday at Veterans Administration Medical Center, Lebanon, after a long illness. A longtime Lititz area resident, Stoyanovitch was a selfemployed barber and worked as a cook at various restaurants.
He previously worked for Iron- George Stoyanovitch workers Union and most recently worked part time for Burns Security. A U.S. Navy veteran, he served as a fireman 2nd class during World War II. He earned a Purple Betty J. Smith, 64, Betty J.

She enjoyed reading, computers, animals and being with friends.

Surviving in addition to her parents are a brother, Jordan at home; maternal grandmother, Judith Fincher Witmer of Columbia; and paternal grandmother, Faith, married to Ernie Wolgemuth of Mount Joy. Philip Tavaglione, barber, hairdresser Philip Tavaglione, 81, of 550 N. Mount Joy Elizabethtown, died Tuesday afternoon at Lancaster General Hospital after a brief illness. After retiring, he worked as a hairdresser and barber at Masonic Homes, Elizabethtown. Tavaglione was a U.S. Merchant Marine during World War II. He was a member of St. Luke's Episcopal Church, Mount Joy; the Masons and Moose Lodge 596, Elizabethtown; and Elizabethtown Senior Citizens.
An avid sports fan, he also enjoyed reading and gardening. He was married 57 years to Doris Splain Tavaglione. In addition to his wife, he is survived by a daughter, Donna, married to Scott Glaus of Virginia; a son, Phillip Matthew of Philadelphia; and a grandson. He was preceded in death by a brother, Anthony. Willis Ranck, 80, was floor mechanic Willis "Jake" Ranck, 80, of 44 S.
State Millville, died Thursday at Millville Health Center. Ranck was a self-employed floor mechanic for more than 5 50 years. A U.S. Army veteran, he served during World War II. He was a 1940 graduate of the former New Holland High School.
A Millville resident since 1974, he was a member of Summit United Methodist Church, Arthur Bardo Post 564 American Legion of Millville, Millville Fire Company and Muncy Masonic Lodge 299. Born in New Holland, he was the son of the late Lewis and Cora Hoover Ranck. He was married 38 years on Oct. 30 to Marylou Nonnenmocher Ranck. Gabel was a dairy farmer in Honey Brook Township until he retired in 1966.
After retirement, he raised produce until he was 100 years old. He was a 1912 graduate of the former Central High School, Honey Brook. He was tax collector in Honey Brook Township from 1931 to 1939. From 1939 to 1963, he was a member of Honey Brook Township school board and served as its treasurer from 1958 to 1963. He was a member of Honey Brook United Methodist Church, where he taught Sunday school and served as church treasurer for more than 30 years.
He also served on the board of trustees and was chairman of Honey Brook Methodist Cemetery for many years. He was a member of Honey Brook Fire Company for more than 50 years. retired dairy farmer Honey Brook Township Grange 1688, where he served as chaplain for 38 years, and was a member of Pomona Grange 3. He also belonged to Howell Lodge 405, Free Accepted Masons, Honey Brook, since 1926. Gabel was a weather observer for Chester County for the National Weather Service for 25 years.
He was a volunteer math tutor at Honey Brook Elementary School for several years after his retirement. He voted in every election since he was of age. He owned a large collection of arrowheads that were found on his farm near Honey Brook. Born in Kinzers, he was the son of the late John and Lizzie Steffy Gabel. His first wife, Verna Cake Gabel, died in 1973 and his second wife, Edna Miller Shaw Gabel, died in 1995.
